11:00 - Bring your mat or blanket and start off the day with a Yoga and Breathwork Class by Leela and Madhurima. This class will include warm-up exercises, postures and breathwork to establish presence in the body in preparation for meditation. All postures can be adapted to sitting in a chair for those who do not wish to sit on the floor.

12:00 - Members of Sahaja Yoga BC will provide an Introduction to Meditation offering effective techniques for quieting the mind and advice on establishing an ongoing practice of meditation.

1:00 pm - Music and Meditation Interactive Workshop with The Nair Brothers: The Nair Brothers will begin with a guided meditation including a vocal workshop demonstrating how the voice can be used to resonate with the musical notes of each energy centre. The latter part of the workshop will then turn playful when Rishi and Nirmal share the sweet sounds of their instrumentation to bathe you in soothing vibrations for a meditative experience.

The events in the second part of the day will be by donation.

2:00 pm - Join us for a Vegetarian Lunch catered by Kwantlen Pizza

3:00 pm - Introductory Tabla for Music Enthusiasts with Amarjeet Singh and Prajatka Trehan: In this workshop, Amarjeet will run through the basics of Tabla-Taal (rhythm) and the importance of Taal in music and life, then through a Jugalbandi, Amarjeet and Prajakta will demonstrate the different rhythmic patterns used in Indian music and dance. The workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to deepen their appreciation of Indian music and for anyone who would like to learn tabla or who is currently learning vocal music, an instrument or dance style. With something for everyone, new Indian music fans will have the opportunity to explore the tabla's role in Indian classical, light, folk, and fusion music, while experienced tabla players and seasoned musicians will be inspired by the masterful expertise of Amarjeet and the rhythmic genius of Prajakta. Listening attentively to tabla can be an extremely meditative experience so a tabla solo will be included in the workshop.
